All patients have the option of being treated as National Health Service Patients.
Adults may wish to be treated as Private patients and this can be done in two ways.
For regularly attending patients who wish to maintain their oral health, we recommend joining the
DENPLAN CARE SCHEME.
This scheme covers the costs of all your regular treatment and encourages the dentist to help you maintain your mouth in the best possible condition. The monthly charges are calculated by your dentist depending on the current state of your mouth and the amount of regular work that will be required to maintain your mouth. There is also the very useful insurance cover for accidents and emergency treatment when you are away from home.
Private treatment allows your dentist more time to explain the treatment alternatives available to you. More expensive materials and laboratories can be used to provide you with the level of care you would like. Most forms of cosmetic dentistry can be undertaken at the practice with the exception of implants where we will be happy to refer you to a dentist with considerable experience in that specialty.
Within the NHS some patients may be exempt the charges and we would be grateful if you would tell us at the start of your treatment if you are liable to be exempt.
If after your dental examination you have to return for further treatment you will be given an estimate of the cost of treatment which you will be asked to pay before the completion of treatment. The treatment charges can be paid in installments
by standing order while the treatment is being undertaken, and payment by credit card or switch card is also acceptable. If you feel you have difficulty with payment of the charges, then please tell the receptionist who will try to help you with treatment or payment alternatives.
As at January 2011 the charges for NHS dental
treatment are as follows:

treatments you will be returning for a further appointment and will be given a
full estimate of the treatment you have agreed on.
